David Angsten’s new thriller, NIGHT OF THE FURIES

Be sure to check out David Angsten’s new thriller, NIGHT OF THE FURIES, available in bookstores and on Amazon October 14th. It’s a follow-up to his terrific treasure-hunt thriller, DARK GOLD. That book’s hero, Jack Duran, is now off to the Greek Isles with his wild and woolly brother Dan, and Dan’s alluring girlfriend Phoebe, a young Dutch archeologist. The trio uncover a mysterious, ancient cult of Dionysus, and an orgy of sex and violence ensues. It’s unlike anything I’ve read before—except maybe Euripides’ horrific drama THE BACCHAE, which David says inspired his book. There are incidents in The Bacchae that are as shocking today as they were 2500 years ago. “I hesitated to recreate those outrageous scenes,” he says. “But finally, it was irresistible, because deep down you know they’re true.” If you’re curious, check out the amazing video trailer for NIGHT OF THE FURIES at here and at David’s website, www.davidangsten.com. It’ll give you just a hint of the excitement of his book. Highly recommended.
