AEI Ally Renegade83 Announces New G-4 Series

G4 GIVES SCIENCE A SOCIAL LIFE WITH THE ALL-NEW HALF-HOUR SERIES “IT’S EFFIN’ SCIENCE”

10 Episode Series, Which Began as a Popular Segment on “Attack of The Show,” Tackles Science with Smarts, Plenty of Comedy and a Daredevil Attitude Beginning June 15th

Los Angeles, May 7, 2010 – Blasting a Port-a-Potty 100 feet in the air using sugar powered rockets? Constructing home-made night vision goggles that actually work? Pulling off foolproof bar bets backed by scientific theory? This isn't science, “It’s Effin’ Science,” G4’s newest, original series with one goal in mind; hack science to do, build and create the kind of stuff that viewers have always wanted, wish they’d invented or didn’t know they needed. Each episode is jam-packed with experiments, practical jokes and sure-fire bets – all created and proven through science. Hosted by comedians Angie Greenup and Marc Horowitz and engineer Chad Zdenek, the series sets out to explore the weird, wild and off-beat side of science. “It’s Effin’ Science” premieres Tuesday, June 15th at 9 PM ET/PT immediately following G4’s live E3 coverage.

Whether it’s creating the ultimate jet propelled shopping cart racer, playing a game of lawn darts using refrigerators, washer dryers and other large objects, or simply discovering why ketchup is so hard to get out of the bottle, “It’s Effin’ Science” sets out to take a fun, witty and approachable look at science. Hosts Angie, Chad and Marc use simple combinations of everyday objects to construct everything from refrigerator lawn darts to fire hose jet packs. They use the basics of science such as counter balance, friction and centrifugal force to make can’t lose bets with unsuspecting participants.

Highlights and recurring segments include:

Effin’ Around: The team sets their sights on building a hover board like the one used in “Back to the Future.”

Effin’ Science Projects: The hosts explore the world of sonic booms.

What’s Effin’ New: The team tries to create a solar powered mini-bike using solar cells and a rechargeable battery.

Bets You Can’t Lose: Angie challenges weight lifters at a gym to several He-Man challenges that test scientific theories such counter balance, center of gravity and structural integrity.

Practical Jokes: Angie rigs a toilet seat with baking soda, lime away and dish soap so that when the toilet is flushed, the stall fills with foam.

Hosts:

Angie Greenup is a host, comic and actress who has worked on FEARnet, GQ.com and Break.com and on the syndicated series, Smash Cuts. She has performed stand up all over the country including sold out shows at The Palms in Las Vegas.
